Thanks! Maybe I'll try posting in the holster section. I really appreciate all of your help.

Thanks for your help and information, Warbird. Did the holster appear to be correct for the period and the gun?

While examining for other markings, I did find on the right side of the slide, near the front, a faint eagle over an "N" stamping.

Only one picture went. I'll try again.

Let's try this again. I think I've resized the pictures. We'll see.

Each picture is over 1 MB. Don't know how to reduce them.

652 was barely visible on the nose of the slide. I would have never seen it if you hadn't told me where to look. Thanks! I hope my pictures come through. I'm getting an error message that my file is too large. I'll try sending a single picture at a time. That didn't work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

Thanks, Warbird! There are no markings on the left side; only the eagle over "N" on the right. The barrel is numbered 652 which matches the serial number of 925652. Are there other places I should search for matching numbers? I'll need to work on downloading the pictures tomorrow. Thanks, again.

Model HSC Pistol / 1944 HSc?

I believe I have a late 1944 production HSc based upon serial #9256XX. The only marking is an eagle over "N" on the right trigger guard web which I believe means it is a commercial model. This was given to me by my father who was in France and Belgium during WWII. It came with a holster which I believe may have been original to the gun, but I can't be sure of that. My curiosity is with the holster, as there is an area on the flap that has been blackened for some reason. I have pictures on my phone, but don't know how to post them on this forum. If someone knows how to do that I could send them the photos from my phone. Thank you for any help.
