Very nice.
I like the Norwegian police versions. A Norwegian police HSc is still on my 'want/need'  list :)

Here is a box of brass cased DWM 7,65 from the same era. This box and its contents were also produced in DWM's Berlin-Borsigwalde plant. Copper washed bullets.
Headstamp DWM B B 479A

The brass cased rounds have nickle plated bullets. Those on the steel cases are copper washed.

Carefully stored by its owner in a 1930s Mauser labeled ribbon box. The box originally contained a typewriter type ribbon used in the Mauser calculation machines, produced during the 1930s.

The cartridges are made by DWM, the brass case ones were made at the DWM Karlsruhe branch, the steel cased cartridges were made by DWM in Berlin.

The HSc pistol that came with it is still in Germany, awaiting import papers. The 1944 pistol was refurbished by a former Mauser employee for personal use and has the rare finger extension magazine with it.

The Eagle/N proof on the muzzle area of the slide is still crisp. Signs that not a lot happened to this pistol...
A similar story on the other side, the roll die marks are still visible.

Model HSC Pistol / HSc 950381, upside down WaA

A few weeks ago the HSc I bought from Hermann Historica came in. An interesting specimen because of the upside down WaA marking and the very late serial number. This was made when the French were already having lunch in Mauser's garden :)
Some oddities:
The pistol came in a post war 1968-1977 box, numbered to the pistol. Obviously this box was added at a later date, but I found no signs of reproofing, so whether this was done for resale on the German market or elsewhere?
The pistol was dipped lock, stock (almost) and barrel at a certain point in time. All original markings are very clean and crisp and there are no signs of rework visible. It looks like the whole thing had the grips removed and was boiled in some sort of blue dip, probably without even removing the suspected phosphate finish it originally had.

Hi, I've been on the road for work a couple of days. You should have a reply by now.

I had the pleasure of proof reading the 2 versions, and this is the most complete book on the HSc pistols at the moment. We were able to provide some information from Mauser to an already complete booklet, so that the majority of the current knowledge on the HSc pistols is finally gathered in one place: This book.

And at this price, it's a steal!
I am delighted that I am able to offer the books in Europe. These are soft cover bound books and can be sent as registered letter, so shipping is more affordable.

Nice example! Good to see you were finally able to get a nice one!

It was acquired by a fellow collector at an auction. When he decided to focus on Mauser lugers, he kindly offered me to pick some nice P38 pistols from his collection. A small article was written on this rare variation a number of years ago. So far only about 4 surviving pistols have been reported.

It's relative, 623030 is still around.
A bit battered, it went from Germany via the UK to Israel.
