Title: Question on Production Time
Post by: GunMan007 on December 31, 2017, 09:45:00 PM
Greetings,  New Member here.

I have a HSc 3 line, stamp 135 (I believe) Serial number: 869658, with plastic grips.  Can anyone pin down the production timing?  Any Reason for the plastic grips, as I see a great many with wood grips.

Any details are greatly appreciated. If pics needed, please let me know.

Nothing wrong with Bakelite grips, but plastic? likely agree with you there. But, why don't you post some pictures for the experts to see what's going on with your pistol, and inside of grips, to enable them to give you some decent information? [please]

Production of your Late Wartime Army HSc occurred in November 1943.

A small percentage had the black bakelite (plastic) Grips beginning in 1941.  The percentage increased through each of the war years into 1945 and then under French supervision after the war.
