Model HSC Pistol / HSP on auction

Auction site in Germany has listed 9mm, HSP for sale. Looks like a well made pistol, but am not familiar with the designation. Minimum bid appears to be $5000 Eur.

Yugo 48 Rifle / Yugo 98

Anyone own a Yugo "Mod 98"? I went to an auction and got carried away. Looks like it was refurbished in 1946 at the Zastava Arms Factory. They did a great job scrubbing all the Nazi eagles but at least all the serial numbers match, except the bayonet and it's frog. I believe it to be 7.92 X 57. I probably paid top dollar plus some. I should never go to auctions. I love the open sight. We will see if it shoots straight. First it has to be cooler.

Model HSC Pistol / HSc Cutout

Rock Island Auction house has a HSc cutout going up on the auction block soon. Has anyone stared at that photo for an extended period of time? I have and I pose a question. If this is a correct, factory built, no serial number cutout, then what is that heat signature doing on the inside at the front of the trigger guard. Why is that heat signature shaped the way it is shaped? Why is there fading in the signature as it becomes further removed from the chamber? It strikes me as a non-typical location for a obvious metal discoloration to be on an example in the white. Perhaps this is just surface rust, but to me it looks different. Perhaps there was a hardening process going on at that location, that would explain it. I am just a HSc devotee with a lot to learn, and I must admit that I cannot figure this cutout coming from the factory. There is another piece of this gun that has me stumped also, but that is for a different time. (after someone spends $9,000 on it) Thank you to the forum for letting me post my interest.

Has anyone every performed a Rockwell hardness test(s) on the major components of the HSc ? It would be interesting to see, if they changed the steel during the war. We know, they changed the finish.

General Discussion / Big Bullet

Went to an auction Saturday. The fellow was an avid metal detector and dug around Fort Scott. I bought some cannon balls and bullets, plus this big, big bullet. 2" across at flat base and 2 and 1/4 " tall. Weight about 20 oz. Anyone guess what would have shot this conical projectile? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Who has ever heard of V-Mail? My 97 year old aunt died and we sold off her personal property yesterday. I got to buy my dad's V-Mail. How the heck did it work? I will post a photo, but it will be of little use. This is not tele-type. Does any one understand how it functioned?

Bought a wild looking bayonet. It is called a M1914 Pioneer. Swiss cross proofed with manufacture H. St. Just an unreal piece of steel.

Model HSC Pistol / Conversion

We have a forum member that would like to convert his post war .380 to a post war .32 caliber. I have never performed that conversion, so I thought I would bring it up here for all to read. It may be as simple as just changing out the barrels, but I wanted all the bases covered, so we all could rest easy. I have a .41 mag project that I hope does not blow up in my face, so I am hesitant to give gunsmith advice to anyone.

Holster Forum / New Found Holster

Just located a holster that is odd for its age. Suppose to fit the HSc, but I am not sold on that idea. What has me interested or perplexed is the closure stud. It does not appear to be metal or at least unpainted metal. It appear to be BROWN. Has anyone seen a holster example with a brown stud?
