Model 1914 Pistol / Model 1914 has OF-743. scribed inside the trigger guard.

I have a Model 1914 with OF-743. hand scribed inside the trigger guard. This pistol has German acceptance marks and a Prussian Eagle outside the trigger guard. It's serial number is in the 170XXX range. It's in great shape for it's age, has anyone seen this type of inscribing? Is this a scarce pistol?
