All I can tell you is that it was made for a Mauser C96 & stock and that it was not made by or at the Mauser factory. It appears to be modern made though I do not know who made it. Regards,

Yes, the holsters made for the M1934 were ok for the HSc as well and when the M1934 was replaced by the HSc, the HSc was the only 'Mauser 7,65' pistol available.

The Heereswaffenamt made no difference between the M1934 and HSc in her purchase lists, all were just registered as 7,65 pistols.

New to this realm and just got my first WWII German Mauser HSc made in 1945.  It came with a holster that looks like the correct style and aged, but it has no markings other than an ink stamp inside the flap "Mauser 7.65"


Is this correct?


Any help is greatly appreciated!

Judging from the pitting, it was cleaned and blued over.
Since the slide number is only lightly electropenciled at the front below the muzzle opening, it is easy to remove it while cleaning and rebluing.

Hi Forum,


I purchased this WWII HSC slide off gunbroker. There wasn’t a lot of information on it. I was hoping to see a SN on the nose of it, but it didn’t have one. Is it possible it was never assembled on a gun to receive a SN or did someone remove it? The only other marking I see is on the inside of the slide on the rear end.

Been so long, since your post, I forgot it again, and was fortunate to find your original post. Needed some range time, and the HSC is certainty an accurate pistol.
I have 3 HSCs, 2 from Interarm, and a WWII police pistol, when the quality was great ( early 704,Xxx. All beauties.

Hi, nice gun.


The Prussian Eagle was a late war order to mark and identify non-P08 guns as government property.


The small acceptance mark in front of the rear sight indeed identifies it a military property.


Perhaps your magazine is at fault. Try putting some pressure on the magazine bottom and see if the firing pin moves.


I had quite a few pistols with similar issues, cured by either swapping or replacing mags.
