Title: French Era HSc With Mismatch Barrel Question
Post by: jmiles1960 on November 02, 2020, 09:20:18 PM
I ran across a very nice French era HSc, 961,xxx serial number range, phosphate finish, half moon bottom magazine, lanyard loop. The barrel appears to be mismatched with the numbers "51  56" and the WR stamp on it.  Sorry, I was not able to get pictures just yet.  My question is: how likely is it this pistol left the factory like this originally? The phosphate finish appears uniform and even, as best I can tell. I was curious how collectible / correct is it and likely impact to collector value.

Thanks for the help and advice in advance. I am somewhat rushed as the seller is likely to move the gun quickly.

Barrels were matched to the gun. So if the barrel is not matching, it is a later swap. Not uncommon, but not factory work.
