Going thru GB and saw this 1914 that saw service as a Hamburg police pistol as well as British proofed. Looks like it led a interesting but very hard and neglected life.https://www.gunbroker.com/item/777752563

Hard life indeed! Interesting until I got to the bulge in the Barrel. Wonder what happened there ...

I have seen a few bulged barrels on vintage 7.65 pistols. I would think most were caused by a misfire that caused the first bullet to become lodged in the barrel followed by a second round that sent both projectiles out of the barrel but resulted in a bulge or ring. The seller of the hard life 1914 Hamburg police on GB sure is optimistic about its value.

Almost happened to me once with Snub .38 (POS). Fortunately, I did not see the hit and immediately ceased live fire to inspect. Yep ... one in the Barrel.

Yeah I was interested til I saw the bulged barrel. I have a non numbered replacement barrel that one could put on it but then you would lose the British nitro proofs. $200 maybe as it is now I would pay but not 350 plus shipping and transfer fee

I was thinking $150 due to the overall condition and that was before I knew about the barrel bulge.
