Thanks, I understand. Do wartime barrels have the same shortened number, so I can distinguish?

Model HSC Pistol / Re: Out of range 'American Eagle HSc'

Little confusion on the number of American Eagle produced in 32acp. My list shows only 153 produced in 1977, numbered 0001 to 0153, and then 4,847 9mmK produced numbered from 0154 to 5000.

Model HSC Pistol / Mauser HSc Post War Production Surprised
« on: February 04, 2018, 06:20:57 PM »
Just recently found complete list of HSC Modern Production. Surprised to see that only 19,021 7.65’s
produced, inclouding 5,000 American Eagle 1977, and 44,097 .380’s, including 5,000 American Eagle.

While I have both calibers, I’m partial to 7.65. Much more enjoyable to shoot, and now feel it does not stress the pistol as much as .380.

My serial number is 00. 6801. It has wooden grips. Would that also be from 1970?

Model HSC Pistol / Mauser HSC Barrel Exchange

I have a Post War Mauser in .380. I would like to replace the barrel and shoot 32acp. I know that there are lock up issues with wartime barerel. Do all modern barrels have part of serial numbers on barrel lug to help distinguish?

Are the mags for the post war HSCs for the 32acp and .380s the same?

Ok, got it now. That’s great news because I thought I lost it while cleaning the pistol.
So.....since I was successful getting the trigger bar in the proper place, and the pistol functioning again, seems that only the slide, and the grips hold the trigger bar in place??

Thanks for taking the time with me,

Vic

Warburg, thanks for the illustrations on the trigger bar. This particular HSC is from 1970, and it seems hard to find that disconnector at the usual places.
It’s easy to find on the HSC diagram, and listed as a separate piece, and appears to go vertically down and over the trigger bar.
Any help locating one would be appreciated.

Model HSC Pistol / HSC 32acp Disconnector

My 1970 HSC does not have a disconnector. Trigger bar held in place by slide and left grip. Is that a problem, or did later HSC not come with disconnector?

Thanks
