Hello Jim!
Sorry, no KM markings as far as i can see on this holster...
The previous owner told me, and he insisted that this holster and pistol has been together since he got it in 1945...
I forgot to say that all number match, and not many rounds has been fired with this gun.

Model HSC Pistol / HSc KM - year of production?
« on: January 27, 2015, 02:32:01 AM »
Warbird or anyone,
I am waiting for this HSc Kriegsmarine - only marking is high up on front strap eagle/swastica/M (2. variation)
Serial is 774xxx - and i believe it is not in high polish - and i am uncertain of production year?
The pistol and holster has been together since 1945 - i got it from an 80 years old man who kept it since then. It served the war with a german officer stationed in the big uboat bunker up in Trondheim.
Picture are bad - i will post new when i got it...

Thank you!

Nice rig - i also respond at the P.38 forum...

The brown holster, you know it was used by either the Gendarmerie (rural police), motorissierte Gendarmerie (motorized rural police/highway partrol) or the Verkehrspolizei (traffic police). I don't know if your pistol was found in Norway or somewhere else, as this would indicate one group or the other might have used it with the brown holster. And, you know the gun in brown holster was used only by an officer or Kriegsoffizier (senior non-coms given temporary officer rank during the war) of the Gendarmerie, or any member of the other two units, as an order of June 1940 restricted 7.65mm pistols to only those ranks.
