Title: Need Input: Original WWII grips ??
Post by: gorseks on November 23, 2017, 12:11:18 AM
This HSc is on gunbroker.com for sale, and seller indicates all WWII original.

Grips appear Interarms type checkered patterns.  Were any of the WWII pistols using this type of grips (I could not find any on the internet.

The rest of the pistol looks good and accurate, but if any comment on that would be appreciated.

Grips are not original as you suspect and this type was never used during or immediately after WWII.  Other than that, I can see nothing else out of the normal from the GunBroker listing.  Value of this Late Wartime HSc in 90% condition would be about $1,000 less the cost of replacement Grips at about $150.  Hope that helps and good luck!

Wow,

Those grips do distract from the natural beauty of that example.

This HSc was produced in April 1944.
