Title: HSc KM - year of production?

Warbird or anyone,
I am waiting for this HSc Kriegsmarine - only marking is high up on front strap eagle/swastica/M (2. variation)
Serial is 774xxx - and i believe it is not in high polish - and i am uncertain of production year?
The pistol and holster has been together since 1945 - i got it from an 80 years old man who kept it since then. It served the war with a german officer stationed in the big uboat bunker up in Trondheim.
Picture are bad - i will post new when i got it...

You know I'll be happy to work with you, Asle, as soon as you have the complete serial number and perhaps a photo of the Eagle/M on the Grip.

Your HSc was made in May 1942.  High polish blue is characteristic until sometime in the Transitional period about January 1943.

I see in your booklet page 61 - the amount is 3017 of var. 2 issued to KM that year...
