Title: please help don't know what I've got

This gun was handed down from my wife grandparents no real markings on it beside under the stock gun smith said it has 8.9mm stamped on it. Can someone give me some info on it thanks

I'd post pics but says file is too large it has 2 triggers German scope with mounts made into barrel

You have a custom made hunting rifle built on a 98 Mauser action. 
Probably(?) made between the 2 world wars using a WW 1 rifle for a starting point. 
Unless there is a makers name on it you'll probably never know much more than that.
