Dear Mr. Mason
Thanks for your interest in helping me with ID of my pistol.
Ser.# is 36092. # is stamped on the left front of the slide and at the rear of the frame.
092 appears on the barrel lug and at the bottom of the frame where the trigger drops through.
The front sight is ramped with horiz. lines milled into the face.
The right hand side of the slide has no markings and a " pocket" milled into the frame
directly above the one piece wooden grip.
Behind the rear sight are stamped a crown above a crown above a U
in front of the rear sight is a mark that I am unable to describe.
The address is one line in capital letters:
WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A-G. OBERNDORFa N. MAUSER'S PATENT
                     .            ?

The Mauser Logo appears below on the frame.
I'll send pic's as soon as I figure out how to post them !
Thanks, Tony

A long time friend passed away and left me a 1914 pistol. Wanting to know as much as I
can about the weapon, I've decided to join this forum.
I am 75 years old, retired machinist, and a firearm and motorcycle enthusiast.
Hopefully, I can learn something and possibly find a new ( or old ) friend.
I live in the State of Virginia, USA
