General Mauser Rifle Questions / Auction Mauser - Need Assistance Identifying

Good day all,
Hoping some of you can assist me with identifying this German Mauser rifle. I picked it up at an auction for a few bucks. Was looking for a solid hunting rifle / project rifle.
There is no crest or writing aside from S/N, caliber and a few "markings". Bolt and action match. Caliber is in 30.06. Not real educated on Mauser, but thought they
did not make 30.06. If the pics do not show what you need to see, hit me with your questions - I will tell you what I am able. Big thanks.

GEW 98 Rifle / Clarification of M98 Sporter

Hello Mauser collectors,
I have come across what was identified as a M98 Sporter chambered in 22-250.
If you take a look at the photos, you will see 1915 stamped on the barrel. I believe 22-250 was
not created until the 1960's. I'm no Mauser scholar, so I could use some assistance identifying what I
am working with. The rifle is in pieces at the moment so I don't have an assembled photo.

Having difficulty adding the remaining 2 photos.....working it.
